1st Annual Ashcroft Opera House Summer Solstice Music Festival - June 21 to 24, 2007.

Check out the photos below. I could only make the Saturday night shows but, wow - awesome experience.
Met old friends and made new ones. Hats off to owner, chef extrordinaire and proud supporter of the arts Martin Comtois for his passion and vision for musicians and future musicians.

NO FEAR

These young teens are learning how to beat back performance jitters in a course called Stage Presence. Clockwise from top left: Erica Bloom, Nicole Meilicke, Kayla Matusiak, Ava Gladman, Maddie Dovano, Sara Hilliard and Taylor Peinhaut show no fear as the curtain opens.

Suzi Rawn before she got naked.

I liked her more when she sang with her original band in Kamloops. The new single "Naked" is plain dumb. She seems to have morphed into a stylized generic rock act now. No more evidence of her raw talent that seemed to get her where she is now. Ironic.

KIDS THAT FISH AND TRAP DON'T MUG LITTLE OLD LADIES

Check out this story on Isobel Lake. It was recently officially designated a kids and grandparents only fishing lake. Not a bad idea.
